Working in Bainbridge: what we know from being on the ground here
We pull permits through the City of Bainbridge Building Department when the scope of work requires it, and we are familiar with what Decatur County expects on permitted insulation projects. The mix of brick ranch homes, older wood-frame houses near downtown, and single-family properties on modest lots across the city means each job is a little different - we come prepared for all of it.
Bainbridge is centered around the historic downtown near the Decatur County courthouse, with Willis Park serving as one of the community's main gathering points. The neighborhoods close to downtown include some of the oldest housing in the city, where original wood framing and plaster walls require careful work to avoid damaging what is already there. The newer residential areas toward the edges of town tend to have slab foundations and fewer crawl space issues, but attic insulation still needs attention in homes built through the 1980s. For more on the city, see the Bainbridge, Georgia Wikipedia article.
We also serve homeowners in Thomasville, about 35 miles to the east, where the housing stock and climate conditions are closely related to what we see in Bainbridge. Customers across Decatur County, from the neighborhoods near Lake Seminole south of town to the agricultural properties on the county's edge, are part of the area we work in regularly.
